The hexagonal bolts are inserted into the fastening rails and then connected to a bracket on the roof rack.

Accepted Answer

To ensure sufficient space for the roof tent mounting brackets, the feet must be at least 80 cm from the roof rack.
By feet are meant the fastening systems that connect crossbars and car. For small cars, this must be measured once.

Why does condensation form in the roof tent and how can I counteract it?

Accepted Answer

Condensation is not exactly pleasant when camping. Especially when you're traveling through and want to fold the roof tent up again in the morning, it would be great if the roof tent is completely dry from the inside. The same is true if the fabric is wet from the inside in the morning and you touch it with your back or elbow when you turn it over.

Why does condensation occur?
Condensation occurs especially in cold seasons. The reason for this is the temperature difference between the inside of the tent and the outside temperature. The body gives off heat in the roof tent, and when this heat now hits the cool roof tent wall, a gaseous substance transforms into a liquid state of aggregation. It condenses and becomes wet.

How can you avoid condensation?
Unfortunately, you can't avoid condensation completely, but you can at least reduce it by ensuring good ventilation. Even if it is cold, you should leave the windows diagonally a good third open, so that the rising air can be removed to the outside. With the Lavista roof tent you can also open the huge entrance door a good third from the top. This method will remove the condensation well and reduce it to a possible.

The mesh mattress carpet pad ventilates your roof tent mattress so that moisture does not collect under the mattress and prevents mildew and mold.
